No. Guests will be checked for alcohol in their possession prior to entering, including food. There is a café /bar half way through the haunted house where beverages and food can be purchased
It's unnecessary expensive...26$ dollars per adult...that sucks...don't worth looking at old furnitures and stuff used by some individual just 100 years ago for $26 ? Am I visiting Alhambra of Spain or Ancient Scottish Castle? No...Long story short the price is too much to visit a private residence that was build for a rich family in 1912...not me.
$10 flat rate for the parking
Yes it is!
Yes.
You can buy city pass at Casa Loma itself, or you can buy it online.
For awesome you need to go to the Grand Canyon, C.L. is old, interesting, grand, historic, but not awesome.
I recomend you check the website.
Yes it Is, enjoy
Yes but you can skip the line if you pre-buy or have a city pass.
Casa Loma is beautiful, magical & a sight you just have to see in person. Their stunning patio at Blue Blood Steakhouse is open right now & I highly suggest you visit in the evening. It's absolutely amazing and the service is impeccable! We came for dessert and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by one of the mangers, Chris who was very polite, friendly and professional. Our server was Donaldo was a pleasure to speak with & went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. Will definitely be back! Insta: @shanezasays
Owsome place to visite once. Well maintained and clean place. Nice view from top .
It surpassed my expectations. Besides the 'casa' there is so much more to see. There are underground tunnels. The attic... I'm not going to reveal more so you can enjoy the Casa yourself. There is parking. If you like some snacks or drinks there is cafeteria. It is a must go place.
I was taken there by my daughters for my birthday. Food was delicious, excellent service. We felt very satisfied with the measures that were implemented due to Covid.
No crowds due to COVID-19. Felt like a private viewing..very informative
nice place to visit during this pandemic, historic landmark!
It's a great place to visit. Lot of interesting things.. the hidden passage is something which many miss. If you go to the place when there are events it is an additional bonus. The garden is beautiful and it was interesting to find the list of films which were shot there.
Beautiful place a bit expensive! The only bad side is no AC in the summer heat but you pay 30$
A very majestic place. I was very lucky to participate part in the afternoon conservatory which added to the magic of this castle. It has an entire history lesson apart from the environment of a castle and being able to walk through it. You can find information of who lived and worked there and enjoy the different views.
Lovely atmosphere. Delicious food, great service.
What an amazing historical place .It's a great place to visit. Lot of interesting things.. the hidden passage is something which many miss.
The castle is beautiful on the outside and not one bit fascinated on the inside. The view of Toronto from the rooftop of the watch tower is amazing. The museum inside the castle is just alright. The history of the castle dates back to 20th century, which is not old hence, not fascinating. The bedrooms and dinning rooms were ok for a one time visit. The tunnel and stable was such a disappointment. Filled with pictures, videos and visuals of dragons, made the experience fake. They had filled the stables with fake dragon eggs, didn’t make any sense and they showcased just one ancient car. We finished the tour in 1/2 hour without an opting for an audio tour. Not worth the 30$/person.The castle from the outside is beautiful. Witnessing wedding photoshoots outside makes it look even more beautiful. The lush green gardens when coupled with the castle as a backdrop is beautiful.
Gorgeous building, but there aren't a ton of actual things to see besides furniture. There is an audioguide included with the price of admission, but it is very dry. Probably would have been more interesting if there was a tour guide. Either way, a nice place to go during the pandemic. Be warned, there is no A/C so it can get incredibly hot in there. Views from the top of the tower are the best part!!
Such a beautiful place. Having dinner in the garden is a must!
Loved it. Even with covid going on, you can still tour the whole facility. Nice place for a quick little getaway, especially when we're all looking for things to do.
A nice Castle located in city center. When from the window look at the beautiful sunny garden, was enjoyable. Lucky I listened music concert at here. That time students wore traditional clothes played music in the hall. When tender music started, sounds like we back to ancient century. This is a heritage place in Toronto, good to see.
What an amazingly historical place, loved the first 2 floors filled with the story of the house and original furniture from the time it was built. We were able to go all the way up to the top of the main tower, what a view from up there. Also little tip on the underground level you can take a secret tunnel to the stables that are a few blocks down, this was by far the coolest of it all!
Casa Loma was amazing! My boyfriend and i went for this tour for his birthday, and we loved it! We didn't have a problem finding parking on site, the line wasn't to bad..but we did wait for a while. Once you get inside you can explore the entire Castle by yourself and take your time to look around and do your own thing which is great. I like that they dont rush you out its really worth the money and i hope they continue doing tours. Will defintetly be back and highly reccomend.
Beautiful historical home. The decorations for Christmas definitely made it a much more enjoyable experience. It was nice to see so much of the castle and not have a lot of closed off areas. The access to go all the way up in the towers was awesome and there is a beautiful view from the top of the Norman Tower. The tunnel to the stables was awesome and again the holiday decorations were top notch. I would definitely recommend!!
Stunning location north of downtown Toronto. The venue hosts weddings and also is home to a great steak restaurant.
What a great and sad story Casa Loma is for Toronto. Just great that Toronto decided to share the story with the world. Great part of history here. Many firsts thanks to the man who built this. Really liked the audio guide that was included and offered in several languages. It was better than I had expected, so that was great for me, because I'm generally not a fan of museum type outings. This was different because I could get a real sense of living there. If you haven't been, just go. Life is short.
Beautiful location and very romantic in the evening. Lots of events here.
Do you know how are the old castles inside? In Casa Loma you can discover different rooms, such as the garden, bedrooms, kitchen. And these rooms was a part of Canadian history.Apart from the history, now, the castle are using to scape room games and the scenes are amazing!!!Look the pictures!
Very interesting place to visit, part of the city history.the new show underground very well done.my kid loved the surprise at the end!
We have been here a number of times now. The tour is very interesting and nice that it is self guided so you can go your own pace. We have been to some open houses as well as a high tea, the food and drinks are always great. We have already booked our wedding here and can't wait to get married in such a beautiful spot.
Visited during a special high tea event and it was the perfect setting for this. I appreciate that they have preserved the estate's history and keep it well-maintained. The tunnels give you a tour of Toronto through the years and the gift shop has some great souvenirs. Love visiting Casa Loma!
Although this isn't an actual authentic medieval castle. It was built in 20th century, but with very thorough thinking about styling and details. The story of the owner is also interesting and touching. So go take an audio guide and enjoy the lovely interiors of a once private house. As a bonus - you can visit professor Xavier school of X-men corridors and some other movies. If you happen to go to the local cafe, choose a place in the center of the alcove - they have some nice music playing in there.
Absolutely stunning. Wonderful view, excellent food and service.
Went to Casa Loma for their new eating in the garden covid restaurant. The atmosphere was great. The service was a little slow. Food was delicious. I had the Cubano Panini. It was crispy and had a good mix of flavors. My wife had the crab cake BLT. It by far the most interesting sandwich on the menu. We ordered a salad to start which was small for the price. Wonderful experience but a little on the pricey side.
So much better then expected. great service and drinks.
Must visit in Toronto. Make sure to spend enough time here atleast three hours. You can get free audio guide from the gift show as well. It has a restaurant with an amazing patio. Castle grounds are free if you visit the restaurant. Tunnels are quite a sight and takes about 30 minutes.
This is a fascinating piece of Toronto history! I was lucky enough to participate in the afternoon tea at the Conservatory which added to the allure and vibe of the castle. The tunnel leading to the garage and stables was a nice cool walk, and the plaques gave just enough information into the lives of those that lived and worked at Casa Loma. So many different films were filmed there, and it was neat to see those locations. A must if you have the time!
We went the Saturday before Christmas. We had a good visit but there were tons of families with young kids there for the various Christmas activities. I think we would have enjoyed our visit a lot more without the crowds. The torrents and tunnel/garage were all very interesting. One recommendation if you do go during Christmas would be to go late afternoon, so you can see all the lights.
This castle overlooking Toronto offers great views of the city, as well as a nice site to explore the history of this place and the city. Every trip to Toronto should include a visit to Casa Loma: you’ll learn a lot about the building and Toronto through the 20th century. There are some beautiful rooms and an amazing conservatory at this place - plus you get to explore the castle/villa with its towers and enjoy the view of downtown Toronto.
Surprisingly Unprofessional.A month in advance I booked my birthday dinner here at the lovely patio, I am coming from far away and had to make arrangements to book the entire day off. Just got an open table notification my reservation was canceled and soon after a lady called to inform me my reservation is now canceled due to them booking a last min wedding. Very unprofessional on their end. Guess it comes down to money and everyone who booked a table that evening will get a cancelation call. I have never been here and I will certainly never book back VERY DISAPPOINTED.
A good option for a rainy day in Toronto. The entrance is cheaper if you buy it at the door as there is no extra fee (online fee). The senior at the entrance was really nice!!Coat check is $3/coat and there are audio guides in multiple languages
Really nice place to visit if you're a tourist. Museum brochure and audio tour guide all free. A lot to see and has a beautiful garden. If you walk around more, there's a cellar or like an underground tunnel to check out too, there are even vintage cars to check out. I really liked it here. Staff friendly too.
Tucked in the middle of a modern city, lies this beautiful castle which would instantly transport you back in time! From the moment you enter this magnificent castle you get to take a glimpse of a place frozen in time. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the majestic architecture will leave you awestruck! The first things that we would recommend is go to the basement, watch the movies about the castle and take the audio tour equipment and a map. You can then take your time to explore the castle at your own pace. Each point of interest is well marked and numbered. By pressing the number in the audio tour equipment, you get to know the story behind it (did you know at one point there were 80 servants for just 2 people!!!)Form the attic to the tunnels, the coffee shop to the Escape Rooms, we would definitely recommend that visiting this place!
We've been there 3 times. Our best experience was actually during Halloween season. A spectacular transformation take place on the grounds that will not disappoint your group.
We had an amazing experience exploring about historic house musium at Casa Loma. It is massive and so many rooms and with antique things. It is worth giving a try. 🏰😍
Great place for dinner. The steak was great! Castle was interesting.

We have been to many different historic houses throughout the U.S. and compared to them, this wasn’t that great. Of course, it is still a great sight to see if you are there, but don’t go out of your way for it.
Scenic historic site for a stroll or there's a great steak house on one of the best outdoor patios in city. Lots always going on.
We love Casa Loma because it is an interesting place to learn about the heritage of the city. SADLY, the food in the restaurant has been the worse thing we have ever eaten in our lives. Two of us asked for a hamburger and we received a cold frozen pale beef party with a melted processed cheese on top. Flavour was weird, we didn't eaten all and way to expensive for that kind of food quality, about $12. Next time, eat at home before you spend your money for unhealthy food. The rest of the castle is wonderful.
Very fun family adventure. We went many years ago and recently went again (before COVID) and it has the same great medieval vibe it's always had. The dinner is a bit on the pricey end but it makes the whole day worth it.
Casa Loma is a gorgeous castle but, it was so so crowded we did not enjoy our visit. Maybe consider visiting first thing in the morning which we did not. I Also wish we were able to take a guided interactive tour, I am not sure if one was offered the lines were just too long.
Note that while the building style is modeled after older castles/chateaux, it was actually built in the early 20th century. Not putting it down, great place to visit.
To use a cliche, a real "blast from the past". Highly fascinating. The "spy" display took my attention both times I visited, and I enjoyed being able to stroll through a castle in Canada that had effectively become a museum to times gone by. Old suits of armour, architecture, artillery and weapons, military uniforms (present and past), and a tower you can see across the city from, this place has a lot of highlights making it worthwhile. There's still some things I didn't get to experience while there (the audio tours, the theatre and dining events), but it's not a waste of time without them.
